Soo Locks & Sault Ste. Marie

Mackinac Island

Heading Home
After breakfast, we’ll begin our final journey home with comfortable stops along the way. We’ll return to Charlotte, Lexington, and North Augusta with new friendships and wonderful memories. ➡️ Great Lakes memories, shared adventures, and stories worth retelling!
Frequently asked questions
What is your cancellation policy?
Travelers who cancel their booking at least 60 days prior to departure are eligible for a refund, minus a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations made within 60 days of departure are non-refundable.
If travel insurance was purchased and the reason for cancellation is covered, you may be able to file a claim for eligible costs. Please review your policy and consult the insurance provider for coverage details.
What if there is inclement weather?
We will make every reasonable effort to operate the tour safely. The itinerary may be adjusted when weather, ferry operations, traffic, or other circumstances affect the planned schedule.
Are there any stops scheduled for the bus ride?
Yes! We normally schedule comfort stops approximately every 2 to 2.5 hours.
Do you offer luggage handling?
Luggage handling is planned at the four-night Northern Michigan hotel when available. It will not normally be available at the en route hotels. We recommend packing a small overnight bag for those stays.
What hotels will we be staying at?
Hotel details will be provided approximately one month before departure. We typically select nationally recognized mid-tier hotels based on group rates, location, accessibility, cleanliness, and customer reviews.
How much walking is involved?
This tour includes walking, uneven surfaces, ferry boarding, and time exploring Mackinac Island. Guests using mobility equipment should contact STS before booking so we can discuss available arrangements.
